Chris Niedzwiedz ~ CEO/Lead Technician
My name is Chris Niedzwiedz, Founder and CEO of Bear Mechanical RGV.
The story behind Bear Mechanical is much more than the name of a company. It is a story about family, hard work, perseverance, and a promise to carry on my father’s legacy.
My last name, Niedzwiedz, is Polish for “Bear.” My father was affectionately known as “Mr. Bear.” He was a highly accomplished Mechanical Engineer who dedicated his career to the manufacturing industry. During his journey, he became Vice President of one of the world’s largest electrical manufacturing companies and eventually moved to Brownsville, Texas.
While traveling between the United States and Mexico, helping establish manufacturing facilities, he met my mother. From that moment, their story—and ours—began.
In 2002, my dad and I had a dream of starting our own HVAC company. I was attending school in Austin, Texas, while my dad continued his education online from Brownsville. He was one of those people who always seemed to have the answer. No matter what situation I faced, he had a way of making things seem possible and always knew how to put me at ease.
Sadly, my father passed away shortly after I graduated, and the dream we had planned together was put on hold.
But the dream never disappeared.
For the next 20 years, I dedicated myself to learning my craft. HVAC became more than just a career—it became something I truly loved. I traveled across the country, working on a wide variety of commercial HVAC systems and serving hundreds of national businesses.
Throughout those years, I never stopped learning. I continued my education, trained on new technologies, and worked to stay ahead of an industry that is constantly changing.
I was fortunate to work alongside some of the largest HVAC corporations in the world and spent many years serving as a Lead Commercial HVAC Technician. Every company, every job, every customer, and every challenge taught me something valuable.
I am incredibly grateful for those experiences and for the people who helped shape me into the technician and business owner I am today.
Then, in 2023, I decided it was time.
I earned my Mechanical Contractor’s License and finally brought the dream my father and I shared back to life.
Bear Mechanical RGV was born.
Today, I carry my father’s name, his lessons, and his example with me every day. Although he is no longer here physically, I feel his presence in the work I do and in the way I approach my customers.
My goal is simple: build Bear Mechanical one customer at a time.
We believe in doing things the right way—with quality workmanship, honesty, professionalism, and genuine care for the people we serve.
Every service call is an opportunity to earn someone’s trust. Every project is an opportunity to show the pride we take in our work.
Bear Mechanical isn’t just a business to me.
It’s the continuation of a dream my father and I started more than two decades ago.
I am proud to carry the name Bear forward, and I am grateful for every customer, business, and family that gives us the opportunity to serve them.
Thank you for supporting Bear Mechanical RGV and for allowing us to be part of your home or business.
We look forward to serving you.
